I’m a firm believer that we make choices that ultimately end up where we need to be at that time or place. It has been scienctifically proven that when positive thinking happens, the outcome aligns with your thoughts. This painting is proof we are all meant to be right where we are now. Being mindful of the position you are in right now is the path that is meant for you. It’s a beautiful mess.

Using the texture and colours working almost against each other - this painting shows the works inner energy and willingness to want to be a part of something. Playing with the Australian dawns and dusks colours, this beautiful piece shows energy through its strokes and flow.

This huge piece was the first of this season of my painting life. It was a turbulent mix of post-partum me after my third child and the feeling, I’d lost a part of me that needed to return. This is an extremely powerful artwork that will always be close to my heart and home. It blends the mix of a beautiful scenario that is covered in chaos - which I believe in the fundamental building blocks of parenting.

Welcome, I’m Alex. I create, make it real, add some colour and paint it out. I’m a 36-year-old mum of 3, I’ve been painting my whole life. Completely self-taught, I’ve always been drawn to colour, organic shapes, flora. My work celebrates human connections, vibrance, the world around us and love.
